I have it installed and don’t notice much of a difference, so maybe a better one is out there.

I guess i can`t confess because u realy hate even the gameplay core itself like bfme1 style, but i am happy that you stated your opinion in a good way without any offense so i thank you.VioLens SE. Contrary to what you might think that actually ruins the immersion of the game and just feels superficial. I want a game that is based on the movies and uses them as inspiration, not where art/icons/quotes are so obviously ripped straight from the movie (with bad quality). The BFME1 style building which they adopted for some reason is utterly boring and restricting and the game lags a ridiculous amount and is full of bugs because they don’t really know how to design a game taking into account all aspects. There’s zero way to balance Edain without redesigning half the game for this very reason. The game play looks slow and unit interactions are dull, powers are over complicated and are added for the sake of it, little thought or gameplay ideas behind them and the balance suffers because of it. It’s basically a different game so why would I play it over this? If I didn’t enjoy this game then I’d look to play edain For example they changed the colour pallet, it’s dark and hard to distinguish between heroes and units, the icons as already mentioned are bad and ambiguous, I can’t even see what most of those are meant to be.

When you tear all that down to try and make your own vision of the game you just destroy it, simple as that.

Things like faction design were not perfect but you could see a solid groundwork in there that kinda works, this is why you don’t need to completely change every part of the game like Edain tries to do, a patch/mod (like 2.02) that tries to fix those little things to realise their full potential is the best way to improve the game. The dwarven faction they came up with is miles better then things like the Hobbit movies which mods like Edain constantly try to stuff into their game. Mainly interpreting parts of the lore, feel of the different factions, creating memorable heroes, great atmosphere etc. Tbh i can`t understand how someone love lotr would ever prefer EA original work,ĮA did numerous things wrong with this game, but they also did a lot right.
